Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex twice world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As both boxers met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly happening.
